MINISTRY TO MIGRANTS UPDATE
Srs. Natalia, RJM and Rosa Mejia, RJM are going from door to door to listen and pray with the migrant families in Spanish or Portuguese, at the hotel shelter run by Catholic Charities. (Sr. Rosa is here from the Province of Mexico to work with the migrants until late December).
The families are very open with us and appreciate the spiritual companioning. Many migrants are arriving from Venezuela, Honduras, Columbia, Russia, Brazil and other countries seeking asylum.
When we receive donations from a couple of parishes, we bring them home, organize them and bring them to the shelter or re-donate them to a Thrift Store if they are not what is needed at the shelter.
