Dear Sister Marge and all our Sisters in the Province,
In the name of our dear Mother Cecilia and of our community, we want to thank you for all the love you have shown M. Cecilia, especially on this occasion of her 115th Birthday, expressed in so many cards, good wishes, prayers, and gifts, all of which are greatly appreciated. The 25th was a great day of thanksgiving for her life, totally given to the Lord during her 92 years of religious profession.
It was a full day, full of gratitude, love and joy and she was accompanied by members of her family who came from the United States to be with her on this day, a niece and her husband and a great nephew and his wife and other members and friends. Such great love that they have for her… She is an inspiration and she is loved and admired by all who meet her.
Representatives from the city council and the secretary of the mayor came to greet her, offered her beautiful flowers and a certificate, since she is the oldest person in Rome and Lazio. A television reporter also came and yesterday they broadcasted a brief report on her which was nice. We thank the Lord for so much good received…
Then we had a beautiful Mass for her intentions and then a simple festive lunch with her family and her community. The delicious chocolate cake and ice-cream were not missing.
Thank you so much for your love to her, and of course we all enjoyed the ice-cream offered to her by her Province. I would say, “Delicious!”, as she says it.
