RJM BICENTENARY CELEBRATION IN CALIFORNIA

On February 2nd all of us gathered at 11:00 AM to celebrate our 200th Anniversary Mass with Bishop John Dolan, a dear friend of ours.

We celebrated around our dining room table at Casa de Esperanza. John spoke so tenderly of his time being educated by sisters and working with us at Santa Sophia. He invited us to also share in the homily about St. Claudine and our Congregation experiences.

We renewed our vows prior to receiving Communion.

Before we concluded the Liturgy with our Bicentenary Prayer, John blessed the FJM pin for Yoli Nicholas and asked each of us to bless the pin as we passed the pin around the table. Then I had the honor of pinning the FJM pin on Yoli at which point we all welcomed her joyfully.

Prior to going to lunch at Peohe’s on the bay in Coronado, we had a brief happy 1/2 hour together here. It was a very peaceful and nourishing celebration together feeling very close to all of our Congregation at this time, as we began to celebrate St. Claudine’s feast a day early, during this 200th Anniversary Year.
