60TH ANNIVERSARY OF ST MARK’S SCHOOL FOUNDING BY RJM

In 1958, the Religious of Jesus and Mary founded St. Mark’s School in Hyattsville MD, shown in the picture on the right. On Friday October 24th, the St. Mark’s School successor, St. Francis International School, honored the RJM as part of the celebration of the 60th anniversary. Below are Sr. Marge Perron, Sr. Rita Ricker, Fr. Roberto Cortés, Sr. Mary Bourdon, and Principal Tobias Harkleroad.

At the celebratory mass, Sr. Mary Bourdon spoke about St. Claudine Thevenet as a role model. Sr. Marge Perron gave each student a bookmark with a statue of St. Claudine with a boy and girl on the front and a prayer of intercession to St. Claudine on the back. St. Francis International School gave the RJM two framed pictures about St. Francis International School, a photo of which is attached to the email accompanying Bridges.

Below are some of the many thank you notes the RJM received from the children.
