HERE I AM, LORD…

Gathering on Saturday, September 19th, the RJM of the MD/DC region prayed and celebrated with Brittany Galvin as she officially began her time of Postulancy.

Meeting at the 13th Street Community, they were well under the city-mandated limitation of 50 persons, even with the addition of ZOOM participants from north and south.

To everyone’s delight, Brittany’s community in Gros Morne (Srs. Jackie Picard & Pat Dillon) “beamed in,” as well as those from Port-au-Prince (Srs. Middia Doute, Josela Gil, and Farzana Philip) and Jean Rabel (Sr. Rose Kelly). Sr. Vivian Patenaude, who spent time in all three JM Haitian sites, joined in from Marillac.  The laptop that connected everyone visually was placed on a Lazy Susan, revolving and giving everyone sight of one another.

And the Spirit forged an even deeper connection, giving a felt experience of the often quoted text from the Rule of the Pious Union: “…but when several go together, there is assurance, courage and fresh support.”
