Aqu\u00ed en los EE. UU., nuestras noticias actuales est\u00e1n llenas de relatos de personas desesperadas que abarrotan nuestras fronteras, deportaciones gubernamentales, junto con relatos de m\u00faltiples esfuerzos para abogar por pol\u00edticas humanas y trabajar para satisfacer las necesidades de los reci\u00e9n llegados a nuestro pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n<p>Escribiendo desde California, Hnas. Rosemary Nicholson y Natalia Mej\u00eda compartieron su participaci\u00f3n en las iniciativas de la Di\u00f3cesis de San Diego para dar la bienvenida a quienes buscan seguridad haciendo real y concreto un &quot;Nosotros cada vez m\u00e1s amplio&quot;.<\/p>\n<p>Rosie y Natalia est\u00e1n trabajando con Caridades Cat\u00f3licas, otras hermanas y otros grupos para recibir y cuidar a las 250 a 300 personas que llegan diariamente. Recientemente, Caridades Cat\u00f3licas traslad\u00f3 a los migrantes a un hotel m\u00e1s grande, donde son procesados, examinados para detectar COVID, reciben atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica y se les ayuda a llegar a sus familiares y patrocinadores aqu\u00ed en los EE. UU. Se contactan a las parroquias para pedir donaciones de ropa y art\u00edculos de tocador, y Natalia y Rosie a menudo trabajan en una sala de distribuci\u00f3n, repartiendo los art\u00edculos necesarios.<\/p>\n<p>Rosie estuvo entre quienes presentaron recientemente el D\u00eda de las Hermanas sobre el tema: Extra\u00f1os\/\u00c1ngeles entre nosotros: los inmigrantes y refugiados de San Diego: la realidad en nuestra Di\u00f3cesis AHORA. Su tema fue el Ministerio de Migrantes; otras presentaciones incluyeron las de hermanas que trabajan con mujeres v\u00edctimas de trata y leyes de inmigraci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Varios RJM, incluidas Rosie y Natalia, fueron invitados por la Hna. Alejandra D\u00edaz, Consejera General, a participar en una Conferencia Internacional: Migrantes y peregrinos como nuestros antepasados \u2013 Teolog\u00eda de la movilidad humana en el siglo XXI. Los oradores analizaron el viaje migratorio en un contexto b\u00edblico, teol\u00f3gico y espiritual, junto con los factores que empujan a las personas al acto desesperado de abandonar su patria.
