A continuaci\u00f3n, se muestran estudiantes que representan a los 3 \u201cesp\u00edritus fundadores\u201d, cuyos valores gu\u00edan la misi\u00f3n y el prop\u00f3sito de la Escuela Washington para Ni\u00f1as: la Hermana Claudine Thevenet, RJM, Mary McLeod Bethune y la Hermana Cornelia Connelly, SHCJ.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Claudine Th\u00e9venet (1818), Fundadora de las Religiosas de Jes\u00fas y Mar\u00eda:<\/strong> A ra\u00edz de la Revoluci\u00f3n Francesa, primero como laica y m\u00e1s tarde como religiosa, Claudina se dedic\u00f3 a ayudar a las personas afectadas por la violencia y el caos de aquellos tiempos, educando y formando a las ni\u00f1as para ayudarlas a alcanzar la autonom\u00eda econ\u00f3mica y su dignidad como mujeres cristianas.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cLa mayor desgracia es vivir y morir sin conocer a Dios\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Mary McLeod Bethune (1935), fundadora del Consejo Nacional de Mujeres Negras:<\/strong> La Dra. Bethune fue una educadora afroamericana y activista de los derechos civiles que fund\u00f3 el Bethune-Cookman College. Fue asesora de todos los presidentes, desde Coolidge hasta Roosevelt. Uno de sus logros fue fundar el Consejo Nacional de Mujeres Negras.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cEntrar para aprender, salir para servir\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Cornelia Connelly (1846), fundadora de la Sociedad del Santo Ni\u00f1o Jes\u00fas:<\/strong> Cornelia Connelly, una mujer adelantada a su tiempo, promovi\u00f3 un enfoque educativo basado en la confianza y el respeto por cada ser humano.
