El vig\u00e9simo aniversario de la Misi\u00f3n de Hait\u00ed se celebrar\u00e1 en Hait\u00ed el domingo 29 de octubre de 2017. Por eso, en esta edici\u00f3n destacamos los recuerdos de muchos de los que sirvieron en la Misi\u00f3n de Hait\u00ed durante los \u00faltimos 20 a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n<h2>RJM en Hait\u00ed: una visi\u00f3n general<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Verano de 1996<\/strong><br \/>\n\tLas Religiosas de Jes\u00fas y Mar\u00eda de Estados Unidos, en su reuni\u00f3n capitular, votan un\u00e1nimemente para abrir una misi\u00f3n en Hait\u00ed.<\/li>\n<li><strong>1997<\/strong><br \/>\n\tSrs. Jacqueline Picard y Vivian Patenaude se instalan en Gros Morne y, algunos meses despu\u00e9s, se les une Sor Patricia Dillion. Fueron recibidos por el P. Ronel Charelus, SMM a la parroquia de Notre Dame de la Chandelier, y se involucra en trabajo pastoral, educaci\u00f3n, atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica, organizaci\u00f3n comunitaria y proyectos agr\u00edcolas y ecol\u00f3gicos. Despu\u00e9s de varios a\u00f1os, la compra de un terreno y la construcci\u00f3n de una casa permite a la comunidad, &#039;Kay Jezi Mari&#039;, recibir voluntarios, visitantes de parroquias &quot;hermanadas&quot; y muchos otros que vienen a aprender y brindar su ayuda.<\/li>\n<li><strong>2000 <\/strong><br \/>\n\tSor Nazareth Ybarra de la Provincia JM de Castilla, se une a las Hnas. Jackie, Vivian y Pat en Gros Morne, y sus ministerios se expanden a la formaci\u00f3n de artistas, a quienes tambi\u00e9n se les ayuda a comercializar sus productos.<\/li>\n<li><strong>2002 <\/strong><br \/>\n\tSrs. Nazareth y Vivian abren una segunda misi\u00f3n en la ciudad de Jean Rabel, ubicada en la Di\u00f3cesis Noroeste de Port-de-Paix. La hermana Nazareth establece un pr\u00f3spero &#039;atelier&#039; (taller), donde se ense\u00f1a a las mujeres a coser y crear otros productos para comercializar. Sor Vivian contin\u00faa su labor pastoral y educativa, incluyendo ahora la creaci\u00f3n de oportunidades educativas para RETAVEKS.<\/li>\n<li><strong>2005 <\/strong><br \/>\n\tHna. Rose Kelly de la Provincia RJM de Irlanda aporta una ampliaci\u00f3n de la evangelizaci\u00f3n en Jean Rabel. En colaboraci\u00f3n con \u201cFoi et Joi\u201d, una empresa educativa patrocinada por los jesuitas, la hermana Rose supervisa el establecimiento de muchas escuelas preescolares, algunas de las cuales posteriormente a\u00f1aden grados m\u00e1s altos.<\/li>\n<li><strong>2007 <\/strong><br \/>\n\tEl motivo de proporcionar un ambiente para fomentar y nutrir las vocaciones haitianas, lo impulsa a mudarse a Puerto Pr\u00edncipe y la posterior compra de una casa all\u00ed. Bajo la direcci\u00f3n de Sor Vivian, las j\u00f3venes haitianas comparten la vida comunitaria y reciben orientaci\u00f3n para discernir su vocaci\u00f3n. En agosto, a Hna. Vivian se le une Hna. Isabel Sola (&#039;Isa&#039;) de la Provincia JM de Barcelona.<\/li>\n<li><strong>2010 <\/strong><br \/>\n\tLa vida y el ministerio en Puerto Pr\u00edncipe cambian enormemente y son reorientados por el catastr\u00f3fico terremoto. En respuesta a las muchas necesidades provocadas por este desastre, la Hna. Isa abre una cl\u00ednica de pr\u00f3tesis.<\/li>\n<li><strong>2013 <\/strong><br \/>\n\tSor Vivian regresa a Estados Unidos y Sor Isa contin\u00faa supervisando el trabajo de la cl\u00ednica, pasando gradualmente responsabilidades a colaboradores laicos.<\/li>\n<li><strong>2015-16 <\/strong><br \/>\n\tLa Hna. Isa contin\u00faa supervisando la cl\u00ednica, establece un grupo de Asociados Laicos JM y ayuda en una cl\u00ednica m\u00f3vil. Tambi\u00e9n gu\u00eda la formaci\u00f3n de una joven postulante haitiana de RJM, Middia Doute.<\/li>\n<li><strong>septiembre 2016 <\/strong><br \/>\n\tEl impactante asesinato de Isa supone un golpe sorprendente y tr\u00e1gico, no s\u00f3lo para su comunidad, su familia y sus amigos, sino para todos los que se enteran. Su legado permanece, no s\u00f3lo en el servicio que prest\u00f3, sino m\u00e1s poderosamente en su compromiso incondicional con la misi\u00f3n que amaba.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Al recordar estas dos d\u00e9cadas de servicio en el pa\u00eds m\u00e1s pobre de nuestro hemisferio, muchas hermanas recuerdan el momento en que se plante\u00f3 la pregunta a los miembros del Cap\u00edtulo Provincial: \u00bfAbrimos una misi\u00f3n en Hait\u00ed? Fueron los RJM all\u00ed quienes dijeron, con una sola voz, \u00a1S\u00cd! Pero ese s\u00ed ha sido repetido, ampliado y hecho infinitamente m\u00e1s fruct\u00edfero por una multitud de \u201csocios en la misi\u00f3n\u201d: voluntarios que han venido, y a menudo regresan repetidamente, para poner sus dones al servicio de la gente; donantes que han donado generosamente; defensores que han solicitado ayuda y canalizado recursos hacia los necesitados; y finalmente todos aquellos que han ofrecido fielmente su apoyo en oraci\u00f3n por esta misi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Santa Claudina lo dijo bien:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cCuando emprendemos un viaje largo solos, s\u00f3lo contamos con medios ordinarios para ayudarnos. Pero cuando varios van juntos, hay seguridad, coraje y nuevo apoyo\u201d. A todos los que han &#039;ido juntos&#039; con nosotros,<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>\u00a1GRACIAS!
