Le 20e anniversaire de la Mission en Ha\u00efti sera c\u00e9l\u00e9br\u00e9 en Ha\u00efti le dimanche 29 octobre 2017. Ainsi, dans ce num\u00e9ro, nous soulignons le souvenir de nombreuses personnes qui ont servi dans la Mission en Ha\u00efti au cours des 20 derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<h2>RJM en Ha\u00efti : Un aper\u00e7u<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>\u00c9t\u00e9 1996<\/strong><br \/>\n\tLes Religieux am\u00e9ricains de J\u00e9sus et Marie, lors de leur r\u00e9union capitulaire, votent \u00e0 l&#039;unanimit\u00e9 l&#039;ouverture d&#039;une mission en Ha\u00efti.<\/li>\n<li><strong>1997<\/strong><br \/>\n\tS\u0153urs. Jacqueline Picard et Vivian Patenaude s&#039;installent \u00e0 Gros Morne et sont rejointes par Sr Patricia Dillion quelques mois plus tard. Ils ont \u00e9t\u00e9 accueillis par le P. Ronel Charelus, SMM \u00e0 la paroisse Notre Dame de la Chandelier, et se lance dans le travail pastoral, l&#039;\u00e9ducation, les soins de sant\u00e9, l&#039;organisation communautaire et les projets agricoles et \u00e9cologiques. Apr\u00e8s plusieurs ann\u00e9es, l&#039;achat d&#039;un terrain et la construction d&#039;une maison permettent \u00e0 la communaut\u00e9 \u00ab Kay Jezi Mari \u00bb de recevoir des b\u00e9n\u00e9voles, des visiteurs des paroisses \u00ab jumel\u00e9es \u00bb et bien d&#039;autres qui viennent s&#039;informer et apporter leur aide.<\/li>\n<li><strong>2000 <\/strong><br \/>\n\tSr Nazareth Ybarra de la Province JM de Castille, rejoint les Sr. Jackie, Vivian et Pat \u00e0 Gros Morne et leurs minist\u00e8res \u00e9largissent la formation des artistes, qui sont \u00e9galement aid\u00e9s \u00e0 commercialiser leurs produits.<\/li>\n<li><strong>2002 <\/strong><br \/>\n\tS\u0153urs. Nazareth et Vivian ouvrent une deuxi\u00e8me mission dans la ville de Jean Rabel, situ\u00e9e dans le dioc\u00e8se nord-ouest de Port-de-Paix. S\u0153ur Nazareth cr\u00e9e un \u00ab\u00a0atelier\u00a0\u00bb (atelier) prosp\u00e8re, o\u00f9 les femmes apprennent \u00e0 coudre et \u00e0 cr\u00e9er d&#039;autres produits destin\u00e9s \u00e0 la commercialisation. S\u0153ur Vivian poursuit son travail pastoral et \u00e9ducatif, incluant d\u00e9sormais la cr\u00e9ation d&#039;opportunit\u00e9s \u00e9ducatives pour RETAVEKS.<\/li>\n<li><strong>2005 <\/strong><br \/>\n\tS\u0153ur Rose Kelly de la Province RJM d&#039;Irlande apporte une extension de la port\u00e9e \u00e0 Jean Rabel. En collaboration avec \u00ab Foi et Joi \u00bb, une entreprise \u00e9ducative parrain\u00e9e par les J\u00e9suites, S\u0153ur Rose supervise la cr\u00e9ation de nombreuses \u00e9coles maternelles, dont certaines ajoutent ensuite des niveaux sup\u00e9rieurs.<\/li>\n<li><strong>2007 <\/strong><br \/>\n\tLe motif de fournir un environnement pour favoriser et nourrir les vocations ha\u00eftiennes incite \u00e0 d\u00e9m\u00e9nager \u00e0 Port-au-Prince et \u00e0 y acheter une maison. Sous la direction de S\u0153ur Vivian, les jeunes femmes ha\u00eftiennes partagent la vie communautaire et sont accompagn\u00e9es dans le discernement de leur vocation. En ao\u00fbt, Sr Vivian est rejointe par Sr Isabel Sola (\u00ab Isa \u00bb) de la Province JM de Barcelone.<\/li>\n<li><strong>2010 <\/strong><br \/>\n\tLa vie et le minist\u00e8re \u00e0 Port-au-Prince ont \u00e9t\u00e9 massivement modifi\u00e9s et r\u00e9orient\u00e9s par le tremblement de terre catastrophique. En r\u00e9ponse aux nombreux besoins provoqu\u00e9s par cette catastrophe, S\u0153ur Isa ouvre une clinique de proth\u00e8ses.<\/li>\n<li><strong>2013 <\/strong><br \/>\n\tS\u0153ur Vivian retourne aux \u00c9tats-Unis et S\u0153ur Isa continue de superviser le travail de la clinique, transmettant progressivement les responsabilit\u00e9s aux collaborateurs la\u00efcs.<\/li>\n<li><strong>2015-16 <\/strong><br \/>\n\tS\u0153ur Isa continue de superviser la clinique, cr\u00e9e un groupe d&#039;associ\u00e9s la\u00efcs JM et aide dans une clinique mobile. Elle guide \u00e9galement la formation d&#039;une jeune postulante ha\u00eftienne du RJM, Middia Doute.<\/li>\n<li><strong>septembre 2016 <\/strong><br \/>\n\tLe meurtre choquant d&#039;Isa est un coup dur et tragique, non seulement pour sa communaut\u00e9, sa famille et ses amis, mais aussi pour tous ceux qui en entendent parler. Son h\u00e9ritage demeure, non seulement dans le service qu&#039;elle a rendu, mais surtout dans son engagement inconditionnel envers la mission qu&#039;elle aimait.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>En repensant \u00e0 ces deux d\u00e9cennies de service dans ce pays le plus pauvre de notre h\u00e9misph\u00e8re, beaucoup de s\u0153urs se souviennent du moment o\u00f9 la question a \u00e9t\u00e9 pos\u00e9e aux membres du Chapitre provincial : Devons-nous ouvrir une mission en Ha\u00efti ? Ce sont les RJM sur place qui ont dit, d&#039;une seule voix, OUI ! Mais ce oui a \u00e9t\u00e9 repris, \u00e9largi, rendu infiniment plus f\u00e9cond par une multitude de \u00ab partenaires en mission \u00bb : des volontaires venus, souvent revenus \u00e0 plusieurs reprises, mettre leurs dons au service des personnes ; les donateurs qui ont donn\u00e9 g\u00e9n\u00e9reusement\u00a0; des d\u00e9fenseurs qui ont sollicit\u00e9 de l&#039;aide et canalis\u00e9 des ressources vers ceux qui en ont besoin ; et enfin, tous ceux-l\u00e0 ont fid\u00e8lement offert leur soutien dans la pri\u00e8re pour cette mission.<\/p>\n<p>Sainte Claudine l&#039;a bien dit :<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u00ab Quand nous partons seuls pour un long voyage, nous n&#039;avons que des moyens ordinaires pour nous aider. Mais quand plusieurs vont ensemble, il y a de l\u2019assurance, du courage et un nouveau soutien. \u00c0 tous ceux qui sont \u00ab all\u00e9s ensemble \u00bb avec nous,<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>MERCI!
