Our country, our CA community of different faiths, different colors, different cultures, young and old from near and far - some from Sacramento, San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego - all gathered this Friday night and Saturday in various parts of San Diego to show solidarity and compassion with the immigrants especially the children.
SR. MARY BOURDON LEADERSHIP AWARD
Pamela Johnson, Chair of the Board of Directors, awarded the Sr. Mary Bourdon Leadership Award at the Washington School for Girls graduation ceremony, on Friday June 15th, saying:

Tee Shirts For Soccer Finals – Roger Jean, (aka Tiden), our friend and long-time main driver, unloaded the parish twinning program sea container yesterday and this morning the truck was unloaded here in Gros Morne and in Garcin. Our yearlong QUEST volunteer, Sofia Pascual, who started the after school sports program, brought the tee shirts to the boys' final games today.
Haiti is only the size of Maryland, but traveling in this island nation warps my sense of time and distance.
Haitian President Jovenel Moïse has begun roadwork from Gonaïves, the capital of our department, where the national highway changes from asphalt to dirt, but no one is celebrating yet. Even as the roadwork crew smooths the road with huge tractors and lays the first layers of asphalt, people hold their praise until they see if this project will be finished in a manner that will greatly impact their ability to travel and, hence, improve their quality of life.
