TRANSITION in PROVINCE LEADERSHIP
The members of the USA-Haiti Province gathered via Zoom on October 9th to express gratitude to the outgoing leadership team members and welcome those appointed to serve for the coming four years. In a Ritual of Transition, outgoing Provincial Superior Sr. Margaret Perron; Secretary Sr. Rita Ricker; and Treasurer, Sr. Anne Magner were presented with gifts and expressions of gratitude for their service.
Sr. Mary Bourdon, the incoming province leader, was thanked for her four years as a councilor, and, together with her new team (Srs. Patricia Brito, Rose Kelly, Rosemary Mangan, Rosemary Nicholson and Janet Stolba), she was offered a blessing.
No Zoom is complete without a glitch or two, and Sunday’s virtual gathering was no exception. A recording of the ritual will be available for those few sisters who were unable to connect. The occasional bumps in the process did nothing to lessons the overall message coming from Haiti, New England, California, New York and Maryland/DC: thanks for what has been; blessings on what is to come!
We hope to have a video of the ceremony for you next week and a copy of the ritual is attached to the email accompanying Bridges.
PROVINCE LEADERSHIP TEAM
The first meeting of the newly-installed Province Leadership Team was held via Zoom on October 13th. The team will meet again on Saturday, October 15th, and will soon be communicating with province members on their initial decisions concerning how they plan to carry out their ministry together.
